Biography

Internationally renowned concertist, Adélaïde Ferrière is described as “A Phenomenon” by the newspaper Le Monde, and has already performed in more than thirty countries around the world.

We find her on renowned stages such as the Philharmonie de Paris, the Auditorium de Radio-France, the Salzburg Mozarteum, the Comédie Française, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro Argentina in Roma, the Seine Musicale, the Snow Concert Hall in Canberra, the Atatürk Opera Hall in Istanbul, the Brno Filharmonie, the Greek National Opera, the Tokyo New National Theater, the Auditorium Rainier III in Monaco, the Epidaurus Theater. She has performed in numerous venues such as the Salzburger Festspiele, Festival Présences, Un Violon sur le Sable, Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo, Festival d’Automne, Festival de Pâques, Festival Berlioz, Ravel Festival, Filarmonica Romana Season

She has collaborated as a soloist with about thirty orchestras, notably the Orchestre National de France, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio-France, the Orchestre de chambre de Genève, the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris, the Opéra National de Lorraine, the Latvian Chamber Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfonica de Xalapa, the Orchestre de chambre Nouvelle-Aquitaine and performed under the baton of conductors Matthias Pintscher, Sir George Benjamin, Holly Choe, Adrian Prabava, Joseph Bastian and Gergely Madaras, among others. In 2022, she was an associate artist of the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, then in 2024 of the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne.

The musician is deeply involved in contemporary music, having taken part in numerous world premieres and collaborated with composers from all ages, including Georges Aperghis, Noriko Baba, Philippe Hurel, Martin Matalon, Camille Pépin, Bastien David, Mikaël Karlsson, François Meïmoun, and many others.

In 2012, at the age of 15, Adélaïde joined the class of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris, where she obtained her Master’s degree with highest honors in 2017. She also studied at the London Royal College of Music in 2016. In 2017, she won the  “Instrumental Soloist Revelation” prize of the 24th Victoires de la Musique Classique and became the first percussionist to be awarded at this ceremony. She is also selected for the 2025-2027 program of the « Génération SPEDIDAM classique et contemporain ».

Her first album, Contemporary, was released by the label Evidence Classics in 2020 and received critical acclaim (Le Choix de France Musique, Joker Crescendo Découverte, Sélection Le Monde, Sélection Le Figaro, 4 **** BBC Music Magazine). She also recorded for the labels Mirare (Messiaen: Des Canyons aux Étoiles), B records (Alliages / Trio Xenakis), Sony Classical (New York, Thibault Cauvin) and Présences Compositrices (Aether by Camille Pépin).

In 2024, the percussionist is invited to participate in the Rising Stars series of the Deutsche Grammophon label and records two singles in the Musical moments collection.  Her performances and interviews have also been broadcasted by Arte & Arte concert, Medici.tv,  Stage+, CultureBox, Pathé live, France Télévisions, M6, TV5 Monde, Radio-France and Radio Classique.

Adélaïde Ferrière is a Yamaha & Kolberg artist. She is supported by the Adami, the Spedidam, the Fondation Safran pour la musique, the Swiss Fondation Engelberts for Arts and Culture, and the Fondation Singer-Polignac where she is in residence with the Trio Xenakis, associate artist since 2025.

During the season 25-26, she will make her debut with the Galicia Philharmonic Orchestra around a double concerto by Rebecca Saunders in the company of Noé Rodrigo Gisbert, as well as with the Orchestre Lamoureux conducted by Adrien Perruchon. She will also join the Orchestre Dijon Bourgogne for the release of a Gershwin/Sarasate CD, the Orchestre Pasdeloup at the Salle Gaveau, then the Trio Xenakis at the Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord and for its Composition Academy. Recitals in France, Poland and Germany complete this season with a first date at the Bel-Air Claviers Festival in Chambéry where Adélaïde has been co-artistic director since 2023 alongside Jean Rondeau and David Chalmin.
